It started in 1991 on the first day of 5th grade at a new school.  MY teacher asked each of us to take off a shoe and draw

it any way we wanted to.  That drawing was framed

and hung in the hallways for everyone to see.  

Everyone had a chance to see something

the way I saw it that day.  

It made me nervous and

excited at the same


That little little scrap of how I see things was put into the world.

This is my exercise in maintaining that excitement of personal growth and that maintainance retains that innocence of a shy artist

quietly putting things

into the world.
